One of the simple pleasures that many people have missed during the pandemic is sitting in a coffee shop with wi-fi, drinking a latte, pretending to be productive, while people watching. Luckily, for those stationed at Ft. Gordon, there is no shortage of local joints serving delicious desserts and drinks, perfect for finally having a day out with your friends, or getting work done with a change of scenery.

So, whether you want to enjoy downtown Augusta, find something close to your neighborhood, or explore the surrounding areas, here are ten locally owned places to enjoy a coffee, some cake, and good company near Ft. Gordon.

In an old cotton warehouse, Boll Weevil is downtown, very close to the Augusta Riverwalk, perfect for an evening serving of cake and a stroll near the water.

3. Do you need a perfect place to write or do other tasks on your laptop with a perfect coffeehouse ambiance? Inner Bean Cafe has you covered with two locations in Martinez and Augusta.
